Quick Easy to Follow Instructions, Chewy Texture, Tangy, Sweet, Savory & Spicy

I got the original sauce, and each separate packet (4 total) is a good-sized portion perfect for snacking. The rice cake is soft and chewy, with that chewiness evenly distributed in every piece. The flavor combines tanginess, savoriness, spiciness, and a hint of sweetness (unlike the tteokbokki I had at a restaurant, which wasn't as tangy). The mild heat lingers in your mouth, but it's not overpowering, you can still savor the tomatoey and sweet notes of the sauce. It is such a satisfying snack.

Medium heat; Better than original!

These are super simple to make. Add 100mL water (just under half a cup of water) to a pan with the sauce and tteokbokki. Once it starts to boil, simmer it for about 5 minutes or so (whenever the sauce is thick enough and the tteokbokki is the right texture.

The sweet spicy sauce is exactly what I expect from Korean cuisine - I've had something similar quite a few times before. It is a little bit sweet, but does have a mouth warming spice that lingers after eating. I would consider it to be a "medium" spicy for me, but this would be "hot" or "burning through the digestive tract hot" for about half of my family (the ones who think that buffalo sauce and black pepper is too spicy, respectively).

I love it - one of the best home versions I've had.

Rice noodles

Easy to make, I added chicken and spinach in mine and it was really delicious for a fast meal. The instructions were very easy to I understand. The texture of the noodles are thick and filling.

Its nice and the sauce gets thick. Reminds me of sweet and sour classic sauce.
The serving size is very small, in my pictures I have 4 servings (2 packages), feeds well two.

These aren't too bad. Not as good as fresh tteokbokki but the rice cakes still had a nice chew. Sauce was a little disappointing but it was still edible and tasty. I ended up adding cheese to make up for the sauce not being quite as good as I was hoping but for a quick snack or sudden craving, this will do well.
