Tteokbokki English Recipe

Here's a K food recipe I prepared today.
It is called a national snack in Korea, where you can adjust the spiciness to your taste. It's a Korean dish known as tteokbokki.
I ate tteokbokki in front of the stationery store I used to visit when I was younger. It was varied and delicious.
It's a shame that Tteokbokki is over 10,000 won now.

01. What are the ingredients for making tteokbokki?

Let's take a look at the English text.
Tteokbokki is a spicy and sweet dish consisting of rice cakes.
The rice cake thickens the sauce, giving it a nice texture.
This recipe is easy to make and makes a great snack or party food.
Let's take a closer look at the ingredients for tteokbokki.

2 cups water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon red pepper paste or Korean hot pepper paste
½ tablespoon red pepper paste or Korean hot pepper power
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups rice cake or rice cake strips
1 cup fish cake or fish cake sheets, cut into small squares or strips
Chopped green onions
Chopped onion and/or cabbage
Sesame seeds for garnish

Soul food that can be completed with ease isn't it? just put it. You can cook it.
Depending on your taste, you may want to add more red pepper paste or sugar.

02. To make it in detail, please see below. It's not hard.

In a cooking pot, combine the water, soy sauce, hot pepper paste and sugar.
Turn up the heat to medium and stir.
Stir in the rice cake. Once the sauce starts to simmer, lower the heat and continue to stir.
Stir in the fish cake.
Heat for about ten minutes or until the sauce
thickens.
Mix in the hot pepper powder.
Once the sauce has thickened, add the chopped
green onions and cook for one more minute.
Turn off the heat and serve. Add sesame seeds for garnish.

Making tteokbokki at home is easy and fun, but you can also buy instant tteokbokki for ease when you're in a rush.
